I am loving the challenges over at Candy Shoppe Designs! The latest one was to use warm colors! I love rich warm colors, it reminds me of fall. (Even as I sit in 110 degree heat in Vegas) So I altered this mailbox with DCWV Rustic stack paper. My family is always writing little notes to each other so now we have a place to put them!

Oh my Crafts Contest
The Oh My Crafts blog is having a fun contest right now! All you have to do is post something you made with something you purchased from them. I bought the Sesame Street Friends cartridge from them and it is one of my favorites! This was for my babies 1st birthday party. My awesome cousin took picture which I am so thankful for because I never got the chance!

My mom's Birthday Goodies
My moms birthday is tomorrow and I never know just what to get her. I'm always nervous about giving homemade gifts, just because I am nervous that they are not good enough. But I was really really happy with how this turned out. The jar was our orange juice bottle cleaned out and sanded lightly. (Came up with that because of the Cuttlebug challenge; reuse and alter.) I bought almond hershey nuggets and covered them with paper from the new rustic stack from DCWV (BEAUTIFUL paper) I glued a trim around the whole bottle and made the center piece by using cuts from Accent Essentials and the script embossing folder. Thanks for looking!

Peachy Keen Challenge 5
This is my latest card, it's inspiration is quite humorous. I knew for the challenge I really wanted to use this mummy stamp. I jus think he is adorable! I couldn' think of a sntiment though so I did a google search and fouond gems like " Living on a nudist colony must ruin Halloween" and " Time for a coffin break" But I just fell in love with mind your mummy! So had my stamp with I embossed in black and my sentiment but was stuck. So as I am sitting in the living room my son starts hollering from the bathroom that he is out of toilet paper. So I run it to him, but as I carry it, a small plan hatched. I grabbed my black ink and started to tear strips of toilet paper ink the edges by running it over my stamp pad then glueing it on so the card looks wrapped like a mummy. I love how it came out!

Happy Birthday Card
This was a card I made after purchasing some Dustin Pike digital stamps. Love his stamps!! They are so adorable! For this one I watercolored the image and used stickles stardust as frosting!I just love these two images and knew they would be perfect for the cuttlebug spot challenge to make the inside count!

Treat Box
I really wanted to try to make a box like this! So the new cuttlebug challenge fit the bill! Not sure why I made the connection but woodsy - treats... don't know!! The tag was embossed with distressed stripes and the leaves all have d'vine swirls! The colors were really fun too! I plan on filling this box with cookies tomorrow. Makes it even yummier!

R is for Romero
I have had this R for a while. It's one of those paper mache letters. It has sat everywhere in my room and decided to bring it out tonight. I love love love the white flower! It is a flower from accent essentials cut at 2.5 then a quarter inch smaller each time! Then covered in MS crystal fine glitter! The bird was inspired by a challenge on Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge: To Kill a Mockingbird. Covered in Onyx MS glitter.
Just "Chicken" in
This is a card I made for the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog. The third challenge was to use this really great sketch and any peachy keen stamps you might have! I don't have a lot of the stamps but one of my favorites is this hen named Henny Penny I believe! You have to see the stamps in thier store! They are beyond adorable and if you do paper dolls on your cricut they have the best face stamps!

Summer Banner
For this banner I combined two different challenges. On CandyShoppeDesigns the challenge was to use a fan flower. A while back I made a birthday banner using them and loved how it looked. But it was pre-scorer (just made that word up!) so my folds where all over the place! These ones line up so nicely! The next inspiration is from the challenge on BBTB (Links to both sites are on the right) The challenge was to come up with a summer creation, with at least one cricut cut. All the cuts are doodlecharms and the lettering is mini monogram.
The tree is embossed with tiny dots embossing folder.
Both the top of the ice cream and seahorse are embossed and then I added glitter. I wasn't sure how it would come out but you can still tell that it is textured!
The sandcastle has sand on it hmmm thought hard on that one! then the popsicle is covered with liquid glass to make it shine!
If you look hard you can see D'vine Swirls in the sun!

Red, White, and Blue
On Cuttlebug Challenge thier current challenge was to use Red, white, blue a button and as a bonus swiss dots embossing folder. That is just what I did! I made this card for the 4th of July. I also used the sketch from SheetLoads! Instead of the usual " sandwich " for the cuttlebug folders I ran the red spotted paper throught the cuttlebug using a peircing pad (a thick piece of foam) so the embossing is very subtle and I love it! Then I made mini pinwheels to decorate with!
Cards and INCHIES!!!
This was the second card I ever tried to make. I even used a plate to emboss the flowers. It was really fun and I learned a lot from it!This was the first altered journal I did. The butterflies are 3-D and curl downward and have stickles in a few places on the wingsThis was a swap I hosted, where every lady made 40 inchies of 1 letter. So when it was all put together it looked like this! I gave mine to Cade's preschool teacher at the end of the year. This picture may prove I am certifiable. For one swap I was in I had to make 1,000 inchies. So I printed out paper that says "Bloom where you are planted" (One of my favorite sayings ever) Cut them into 1x1 squares stamped each one with a flower and then used stickes in the center. This last picture is of the amazing can I got from ChristinePalmer on the Cricut message board! We were in a relationship swap and had words for each letter in the alphabet. Like dazzle and valentine.
